Deezer

A while back after writing an article on the website Songza someone called Matt recommended I look up a site called Deezer, and wow I am impressed! Deezer really does seem to blow Songza out of the water. It works faster than Songza as well as having higher quality music on offer. Unlike many decent streaming services on the Internet it also does not have geographical limits on where you can listen to the music. With over 2.5M songs you are also unlikely not to find what you want!

The layout is much more impressive than Songza, allowing you to use the site a lot more without affecting what you are playing. Deezer is a free and legit service, that survives on advertising revenue. On top of this Deezer also has the ability to view Youtube videos of the artist you are playing and can introduce you to more music by that artist as well.

Similar to Songza a quick registration and you can start creating multiple playlists. Other useful assets on Deezer include a top list of music played by users in a selection of countries (Germany, UK, USA and France).

Those of you who remember a service called Pandora that was all the rage a few years back (before being limited to just the USA and Canada) will also notice Deezer has a Smart Radio function which is a great way to help you find other music you might like judged from your inputted taste.

My Overall Verdict: Deezer has amazing sound quality, definately worth checking out especially if your a student and buying CD’s or iTunes has become a bit more expensive lately! 9.8/10
